Hailing originally from Chicago, then L.A., then Texas, a couple other places in between, and finally Boston (phew!), Danielle’s entree into the world of wellness 15 years ago was inspired by a desk job in advertising that was somehow…lacking. With a background in Journalism and French, Danielle pursued a Masters in French Translation at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in California before settling at WGBH and PBS, leading their International Marketing group, until motherhood inspired her to focus on contributing to the healthy part of people's days.
Woven throughout her years in the corporate sphere was an early foray into Pilates Reformer classes in 2000, which opened up a whole new world for Danielle. It soothed the stress of the rigorous Grind, changed her whole body inside and out, and after being invited to teach by her instructor, led to multiple Pilates certifications. Running quickly integrated as the next passion, with yoga and Barre joining the list shortly thereafter.
Upon moving to Boston in 2004, Danielle continued pretty rigorously in both the corporate and fitness arenas, teaching as much as possible in between her 9-5 life. Burning the candle at both ends, the birth of her son gave her a sudden acute awareness that health and wellness were not only worth preserving, but crucial to pursuing.
She decided to focus exclusively on wellness and parenting, teaching at Harvard and local studios. As a new parent poring over ingredients in her childrens’ food, she became hyper aware of the road blocks standing in the way of maintaining overall health amidst busy lives and questionable food sources. Working with fitness clients struggling to understand what “wellness” looked like, Danielle decided to become a certified Wellness Coach.
Her absolute passion is helping people realize their path to feeling great in their bodies, in their skin, and in their hearts. She is so excited to be part of the LPY team and looks forward to having you in her Barre class!
