Yoga was first introduced to me by a dance teacher at Dean College while completing my BA in Musical Theatre. After diving into the practice, I found that yoga is much more than exercise, it is a mindset and a way of life. Once I began developing the ability to clear the mind and calm the body through breathing and meditation, I discovered the mental space to become a better problem solver, communicator, student, and teacher.
Over the past 5 years, my deep passion for yoga has flourished. I completed my 200 hour RYT training at Kripalu school of yoga in 2016 and have loved every minute of teaching. My favorite classes to teach are children's, teen's, and family classes! It fills me with joy to give this practice to young people and watch them grow.
The practice of yoga has guided me to a better understanding of self and the world. I have grown a deep awareness of body, mind, and spirit; and found a deeper connection to the divine universe. I believes how we treat ourselves is truly how we treat others. All of my classes emphasis self love and self observation without judgment! I believe self care is of the utmost importance. When my the mind, body, and spirit feel balanced and connected, I can most effectively give love and kindness to everyone around me. When we give love, love will inevitably come back to us!
